The Toronto Film Festival announced that one of its 2023 release films will be Seven Veils, directed by Atom Egoyan and starring Amanda Seyfried.

The project, starring Amanda Seyfried, will be shown in partnership with the Canadian Opera Company on September 8 at the Four Seasons Performing Arts Center before repeat performances scheduled for September 10.

Seven Veils tells the story of Janine, played by Amanda Seyfried, who works as a theater director and is given the task of directing the opera Salome in honor of her mentor. Haunted by dark and disturbing memories from the past, Janine allows her repressed traumas to influence the present as she re-enters the world of opera.
Also in the cast are Ambour Braid, Michael Kupfer-Radecki, Rebecca Liddiard, Douglas Smith, Mark O’Brien and Vinessa Antoine.
