It was noted that the US military responded to the Iranian-backed groups with armed AC-130 aircraft following the incident.
A total of 66 attacks have been reportedly carried out on US forces since October 17, 32 of which were in Iraq and 34 in Syria. It was reported that 62 people were injured in these attacks.
