Over the weekend, the System for Emergency and Disaster Medical Assistance (SAMEC) provided on-site care 178 times for a variety of reasons, including:
– 31 due to traffic accidents
– 10 times for epilepsy patients
– 7 For people who have difficulty breathing
– 13 patients with decompensated diabetes
– 18 damage and attack
– 29 due to domestic violence
Additionally, 84 instances of assistance were reported at various venues and events where people gathered between 7 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, and 7 a.m. on Monday, October 2.
• Mother and baby
The Women’s and Children’s Hospital reported the following news from 8 p.m. Friday, September 29, to 8 p.m. Monday, October 2:
A total of 271 patients were admitted to the adult ward, 45 of whom were hospitalized. There were 90 obstetric visits, 138 gynecological visits, and 43 medical outpatient visits.
A total of 692 patients were admitted to the pediatric ward, 44 of whom were hospitalized. Among the emergency causes, there were 98 cases of respiratory diseases, 34 cases of various traumas, 64 cases of gastroenteritis, 2 cases of dog bites, and 2 cases of burns.
There were 30 live births: 12 males and 18 females.
• St. Bernard dog
At San Bernardo Hospital, a total of 775 people received telephone consultations from 8:00 on Friday, September 29, to 8:00 on Monday, October 2.
Of those treated, 170 were hospitalized.
A total of 129 people were injured, 83 of whom were injured in traffic accidents:
– 42 motorcyclists
– 32 passers-by
– 6 drivers
– 3 cyclists
In addition, 44 patients were referred from other medical centers while on call for assistance.
• Pope Francisco
During the weekend, Papa Francisco Hospital admitted a total of 373 patients: 360 patients for various emergencies, 1 injured, 2 patients requiring laboratory requests and 10 patients transferred from another medical center. No one admitted causing injury by a stabbing weapon or a road accident.
•Arturo Onativia
Arturo Oñativia Hospital had a total of 35 emergency ward consultations from Friday to Sunday, the main reasons being: gastroenteritis, diabetic decompensation, urinary tract infections and exacerbation of chronic renal failure.
• Miguel Lagun
From 8pm on Friday to 8am on Monday, the guards received and cared for 19 patients with mental health and addiction conditions.
