In a recent interview, Coco Goff was asked to reflect on her career so far, everything she’s accomplished as a teenager, and whether she’s satisfied with everything she’s done so far. To this, she responded: “I saw a statistic where I put my Grand Slam wins right up there with Serena and Capriati. I just feel like I’m seeing the glass half empty, so I’m being negative. And then I looked at that statistic and I thought they had a great career. So, I feel like I’m on the right track. “I just have to remind myself of the journey, not the present moment.”

Goff also added that she tends to be hard on herself, but now thinking back on her time on the court, “I’m really proud of myself. “I did want to win a Grand Slam like a teenager, and I did that.”

Gauff also shared her goals for the future, such as how she hopes to give herself a chance to at least finish second and work her way up from there. Not only that, the young American sees playing the sport not only for his career, but also for having fun. If she stops having fun, she’ll just walk away!

Gauff talks about taking a break if tennis stops being fun

It’s important for Coco Gauff to have fun on the WTA Tour because if she stopped, she would be away from the sport. Gough mentioned, “I enjoy it. “I figured if there was a day when I stopped having fun, I’d take a break.”

She also added that the sport can get competitive at times, but in a fun way, and she hopes it stays that way for as long as possible. Just like Capriati and Williams, fans may get to watch the 2023 U.S. Open champion build a lengthy career in the racquet sport!
