The worst kept secret in fighting game history is finally revealed: Aang and Korra come to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Despite being spotted in game art since July, the iconic couple was not officially revealed until today, just days after launch.
The revelation of Avatar is the last big news expected from the game until its launch this Tuesday. Aang and Korra They raise the list to 20, joining other Nickelodeon legends like SpongeBob, Patrick, Danny Phantom and Nigel Thornberry.
However, this late announcement does not mean that Korra and Aang be the last fighters added to the game. Much like its inspiration from the fighting and platformer game, Super Smash Bros, more characters will be added after launch. There is no indication as to who they could be, but Nickelodeon has a large enough catalog to draw inspiration from. In particular, hits like Jimmy Neutron and The Fairly Oddparents are not yet represented in the game.
Don’t Miss: Lana Rhoades teases her boyfriend during a Twitch stream.
That Korra and Aang being the newest fighters is not surprising news. Not only do they appear in the in-game illustrations, but the in-game trophies mention Avatar when they were revealed last week.
Nickelodeon fans have been lucky this year. Following the success of the 2020 SpongeBob remake in Bikini Bottom, we got the news of All-Star Brawl, which was quickly followed by the announcement of a new platform game: SpongeBob The Cosmic Shake. Cosmic Shake is run by Purple Lamp Studios, the same team behind Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, and will launch on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will be with us on October 5, ironically the same day the final character for Smash Bros Ultimate will be announced. It will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
