In Wednesday’s session, dedicated to the discussion of Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, the National Assembly approved a series of recommendations, in particular the prosecution of Israeli leaders as “war criminals” in international forums and the creation of the “Humanitarian City of Kuwait”. in Gaza. The recommendations called on the Kuwaiti government, the private sector and development funds to establish the Gaza Reconstruction Fund and support its steadfastness.
It called for 13 recommendations; Close Kuwait’s airspace and lands to any use in any operation against the Palestinians and prosecute any case of communication with the occupation.
The recommendations also call on Kuwait’s Ministry of Health to organize the reception of infected people, especially children and women. To treat them in Kuwait.
Parliamentary condemnation
During the session dedicated to the debate on Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, representatives of the National Assembly of Kuwait affirmed their condemnation and condemnation of Israeli practices in the Gaza Strip which have lasted for weeks and which have resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries, the most of them civilian and civilian children. women.

The representatives denounced “the international silence that revealed the contradictions of Western countries and their reversal of the principles of human rights and the failure of the United Nations agreements that claimed to implement justice and support the oppressed”.
The representatives underlined “the importance of initiative and coordination to launch international campaigns to implement the decision of the United Nations General Assembly to ceasefire and allow the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip”.
During the session, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah confirmed that Kuwait is committed to rejecting normalization, stressing that “what the occupation forces are doing constitutes a war crime.”
The Foreign Minister stressed that: “There are double standards in dealing with the Palestinian issue, and Kuwait will continue to reject normalization and condemn crimes against the Palestinian people.”
Meanwhile, MP Mubarak Al-Hajraf described what is happening in Gaza as “a genocide and a new holocaust, and what is happening in the Strip are war crimes for which international law will be held accountable.”
Representative Hassan Johar said: The Palestinian people have stimulated the humanitarian sense of all the people of the world. He added: “After 60 years, there is still political hypocrisy on the part of Western countries.”
Representative Abdul Karim Al-Kandari said: “We are not winning for Gaza today… Gaza has won for itself.” He added: “What has been defeated in this battle is the law (…) and the international organizations that give us lip service to the human conscience.”
Representative Marzouq Al-Ghanim said during the session: “We are ashamed of our negligence towards them (the Palestinians). We can do a lot.”
He went on to say: “Anyone who claims that what happened (was) because of October 7 was unjust… We must not base an action on the perpetrator and classify the resistance based on his identity.”
