Barbie and Billie Eilish release ‘What Was I Made For?

A year after the release of his last single, the superstar BILLIE EILISH post song and videoWHY AM I CREATED FOR? taken from the soundtrack of the long-awaited new movie “Barbie”in Italian theaters July 20, 2023, distributed by Warner Bros. pictures.

“I think I forgot / How to be happy / Something I’m not / But something I can be / Something I’m waiting for / Something I’m made for / Something what I was made for.” – sings Billy in his new single, which marks the return of the artist to his touching style and straightforward lyrics.

“What was I made for?” was written specifically for the film Barbiealong with his brother FINNEASwho produced the track at their home studio in Los Angeles. The intimate and delicate part is present in the film as background music in various key scenes to emphasize the important message of the film.
The track also comes with a beautiful video clip. directed by Billy herself.

“WHAT AM I CREATED FOR?”, moreover, represents Billy’s new collaboration with the film world after the Academy Award for the film best original song won with the film “007 – No Time to Die”. His ability to translate the tone and emotion of a film into music is, as usual, extraordinary.
