Barbie: Margot Robbie was convinced that the film would never be made

After the release of the new trailer of Barbiethe actress Margot Robbie reveals what he originally thought of the script for Barbie before the film received the green light.

“The first time I read the script of Barbiemy reaction was:

The actress said she declined to reveal more details about the script.

Though the cast didn’t talk much about the central narrative of Barbiethe synopsis reveals that the film will see “a doll who lives in Barbieland, gets kicked out for not being perfect enough, and sets off on an adventure into the real world“.
A second Barbie trailer was released in April, showcasing Barbie’s relationship (Margot Robbie) with Ken (Ryan Gosling) and the other dolls that live in Barbieland.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Kate McKinnon, Alexandra Shipp, Ariana Greenblatt, America Ferrara And Michael Ceraamong others.

Between homage and satire

In the film we will also see Will Ferrell who stars as a mysterious Mattel-inspired CEO, though his connection to Barbie’s “real world” setting remains unknown.
