On Sunday, August 27, the last race of the summer calendar of the 66th Batailles de Reines regional competition took place at the Brusson Arena. Musetto by Paola Stevinin, weighing 741 kg, was the heaviest of the one hundred and twenty-one cows present at the show.
Challain-Saint-Anselme breeder Marco Demoz returns home with two queens: “Bambina” in the first category, the winner of the “Pandora” Sandro Ronco di Issime, and “Merlitta” in the second category, which in the last fight defeated “Margo” Hugo Reville di Brusson. Also qualifying for the first category were Lunay Loris Foretier and Arizona Diego Perrin, both from Qarth; in the second category, “Shakira” Edi Miasso from Chambave and “Instagram” Rudy Bavareks from Noosa will reach the regional final.
In the third category, among the fifty-five registered cows, is the tick “Iris” by Hugo Jans from Fontainemor. Second place for “Malice” by Edy Miasso, third for “Tonnère” by Nadia Vuillermin from Verrès and fourth for “Bellesse” by breeder Edy Surroz from Brusson.
The first of the autumn preliminary rounds will take place on Sunday, September 3rd, in Valgrisens.
