Tijuana– Baja California remains one of the entities with the highest incidence of hepatitis C patients, most of them homeless people who do not receive treatment to be cured.

He explained that 2,500 people living with HIV are currently receiving treatment and assured that the two clinics owned by the health jurisdiction can provide the medicines they need.
As far as hepatitis C patients are concerned, many of them are in the northern suburbs and are not affected by travel to healthcare facilities, he explained. Furthermore, since they live on the streets, they do not receive treatment.
He said the patients diagnosed with HIV and hepatitis C ranged in age from 25 to 50, although in recent days they had found cases in younger people.
