This trend seems to have first started with Arthur Hulu aka “Gaius Flavius” on social networks – a Roman reenactor who publishes comedy skits in the image of a gladiator.
The influencer first asked the viral question on Instagram last month, and more recently on TIK Tak last week. “Sir, many of you don’t realize how often people think about the Roman Empire. Ask your husbands/boyfriends/fathers/brothers: you will be surprised by their answers!” He wrote.
His post was about the post of Swedish influencer Saskia Court, who in September 2022 began encourage your Instagram followers to ask their partners how often they think about the Roman Empire. The trend went viral in Sweden and now, a year later, has gone global.
