The government press office in the Gaza Strip said on Wednesday that the death toll from Israeli attacks on the Strip had risen to 14,532 since October 7.

The office said that among the dead there were more than six thousand children and four thousand women, meaning that children and women accounted for 69% of the deaths. He added that the number of injured people exceeded 35,000, of which more than 75 percent were children and women, while the number of missing people reached about seven thousand, including more than 4,700 children and women.

In this context, the Palestinian Red Crescent said on Wednesday that the Israeli army detained for three hours three paramedics from its crew who were participating in a convoy evacuating the wounded from Al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip, and one of the comrades of the wounded. .

The Red Crescent indicated in a statement that the wounded arrived at the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, adding that the dialysis patients were transferred to the Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah.

Earlier, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the convoy evacuating the sick and wounded from Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital had been parked at the security barrier separating the north and south of the Strip for five hours.

In a statement, the Red Crescent accused the Israeli army of obstructing the passage of the convoy and conducting careful inspections of ambulances, thus endangering the lives of the wounded and sick.
