Bella Poarch spoke candidly about the experience in a new episode of Call Her Daddy.

Bella Poarch has spoken out about being sexually assaulted at age 18 and how it impacted her time in the US Army.
Before she became famous on TikTok, Bella Poarch was a member of the US Navy. She enlisted in the military in 2015 and has been in Japan the entire time. Speaking about her time in the Navy, Bella told Vogue: “One thing the Navy taught me is that you can’t do everything on your own – you have to have a great family of people around you that you can trust and achieve great things.”
Bella has now spoken more openly about serving in the Navy and how she was sexually assaulted by someone she knew.

Speaking to Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy, Bella explained that the experience happened while she was serving in the US Navy. Bella said: “I’ve never talked about it, but something really terrible happened to me in the army.” Bella then started crying and said, “Sorry, I’m starting to worry. So, during my first year in the military, I was sexually assaulted. I was 18.”
Discussing when this happened, Bella continued: “I was a motivated sailor. I studied really hard and wanted to get a title so I could make more money and then yes, it happened. At first I didn’t want to talk. I was worried about it, but the women around me kind of knew something was wrong.”
She added: “It was someone I knew. I came to work and they were like, “Why do you have so many cuts on your face? Why do you have bruises on your neck? What’s happening? I just started crying.” … I didn’t know if I wanted to say what really happened because I didn’t want anything to change.”

After she stopped crying, Bella said she was “very grateful” that she was surrounded by people who cared about her and that they made her take the rape kit and report it. She explained: “I just said, ‘I don’t want to.’ But they said, “You must. This man cannot continue to do this. What if he does this to another girl?
Bella said the reporting process was really difficult: “I went to get (the rape kit) and it was a long process, a lot of questioning. I was like a suspect, they interrogated me, and they were like, “Oh, did this really happen?” When it’s obvious they see the physical.”
She concluded: “We went to trial and he got four years. That’s all”.
