Blizzard employees to create RTS with support from Tencent

Blizzard has been around for many years, so a lot of prominent employees have left the company – enough for a few studios! Another one, Uncapped Games, was recently founded.

The team was led by David Kim and Jason Hughes. Both were involved in the development of Diablo IV. Kim also had a hand in StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, and Hughes had a hand in Diablo III. Zhongshan Zhang, an industry veteran who has worked at BlizzardUbisoft, and Foundation 9, has been appointed Lead Engineer.

Uncapped is based in Los Angeles, California. The team is a member of Lightspeed and the Quantum Studios Group is, owned by Tencent. The team continues to recruit specialists.

Very little is known about the debut project Uncapped – it will be a real-time strategy for the PC. The announcement will take place later.
