The new Saw X commercial is a gory parody of Nicole Kidman’s iconic AMC viral ad. Saw The new film will take place before the events of Saw III, following an earlier trap set by Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) after he was manipulated by a group of con artists who pretended to have a potential cure for his cancer.
A new promotional video for the horror sequel was released on the official Lionsgate Movies YouTube channel just over two weeks before the September 29 release date of Saw X. Watch the video below:

Billy the puppet from Saw explained
Although Billy the Puppet has no direct influence on the plot, he has become an unofficial figure in the Saw franchise. The tricycle-riding puppet with red eyes, a white face, and red spirals on his cheeks first appeared in the original Saw film as an emissary of sorts for Jigsaw, delivering the killer’s messages to his victims via recordings. This was necessary in the first film since Jigsaw’s true identity was not fully revealed.
However, Billy the Puppet remained a constant figure in the Saw story, reappearing to deliver messages in every Saw movie up until 2017’s Saw. The Saw X trailer revealed that Billy will be making a full return in the new film alongside Jigsaw.
Mainly because Saw X is a deliberate homage to the early days of the series. In addition to the return of Billy and Jigsaw, longtime Saw character Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith) will also return. While this parody of Nicole Kidman’s AMC commercial shows that the series is also looking at the present in terms of references, this central role of Billy demonstrates how strongly the filmmakers intend to return to their roots.
