Bolzano sets 7 new records at City South Tyrol meeting

In the 5th city of Bolzano South Tyrol athletics meeting, in the first stage of the speed king and queen Trentino Alto Adige, 7 previous records of the event were broken on Saturday: women’s field by Giulia Fongaro (100m), Elena Marini (100h) in Pamela Croce (high jump) and Adele Tonutto (javelin throw); in the men’s field by Lorenzo Iannes (100m), Giacomo Zampese (110m) and Destiny Necioni (long jump).

Organized by ASD Läufer Club Bozen Raiffeisen and Athletic Club 96 Alperia, 24-year-old Pamela Croce (US Quercia), the absolute star of the high jump competition, shone, setting a new record with a jump of 1.79m, 9th. centimeters higher than the previous record for the event.
Javelin thrower Adele Toniuto (ASD Team Treviso) also had an excellent race and won, improving the previous record to 50.42m.
Two other records in the women’s field have come from sprinters.

In the final of the 100 m dash Giulia Fongaro of Athletica Vicentina had no opponents and won with a time of 11” 65”, almost half a second ahead of her first opponents Nancy Dematte and Ariana Bessell.
Even Elena Marini clearly won over her opponents in the 100 m hurdles and significantly improved the previous record (13″70).
In the women’s field, two other South Tyrolean athletes stood out, Petra Nardelli in the 400 m and Lara Voorhauser in the 800 m.
Shot put and long jump were won by Anita Nalesso (Travisatletica) and Carol Zangobo (Acindustria Sport) respectively.

In the men’s field at the Men’s City of Bolzano Alto Adige meeting, three participants stood out in particular, two of whom played at home, being athletes from the Athletic Club 96 Alperia: in the long jump, Destini Nakaoni won and the competition. Defeated the jump of 7.44m.

Trentino’s Lorenzo Ines also set a new record for the event by running the 100 meters in 10 seconds and 36 hundredths of a second.
The third record came in the 110m hurdles, where Giacomo Zampis of the Venetian company ASD Atlética Biotecna crossed the finish line in just 15″07″, beating the previous record by 38 cents.

Mattia Pivetta (400m), Filippo Bisetto (800m), Mattia Meneghini (high jump), Hubert Gauler (javelin throw) and Giacomo Bona (shot put) won the remaining men’s races. It should also be remembered that the results obtained by the athletes in the speed and obstacle races were also invaluable for the purposes of the general classification of the Speed ​​King and Queen Trentino Alto Adige circuit.

After the first stage in Bolzano, the Speed ​​King and Queen will head to the Trentino Alto Adige circuit in Trentino, first in Pergine (17 June, first meeting Pergine) and then in Arco (1 July, Queenatletica Arco Games 2.0).
Many regional athletes and others took part in the event, organized by two Bolzano companies.

In addition to competitions in the full category, three competitions were held for female athletes and a number of competitions for athletes in the cadet category.
