Booty drops this is a new single from Doechi, released last night by Top Dawg Entertainment. Unreleased anticipates the rapper’s debut album, slated for release in the next few months.
In recent years, the artist has solidified his presence on the American scene, demonstrating his versatility and establishing himself on all streaming platforms.
Doechii to debut album with Booty Drop
Booty drops follows success What is it (Blockboy) which gave the rapper her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. The song currently sits at No. 50 on the prominent chart and continues to show consistency in both radio airplay and streaming.
At the end of June, Doechii presented the song on stage at the BET Awards. Since then, various previews have appeared on social networks, which immediately won the artist’s fans.
Straight from the cover Booty drops offers an aesthetic deeply rooted in the musical culture of the Dirty South. Although the song is less edgy than the last hit signed by Doechii, it has the potential to repeat its success, especially in American territory (click HERE to read the full lyrics):
“Strip club, dance, dance, do it in a handstand / Get down, get bands, do it without a team / I’ll make her fall / She play, she fucked up, I make it pop / That soft booty, she pick it up and brings them props”
The song is expected to be part of the artist’s first studio album. As for the project, we don’t have any details except that Doechii was expecting a track listing on Twitter at the end of May. If confirmed, we will find twelve tracks in it, four of which are still shrouded in mystery.

At the end of October, the artist will travel with Doja Cat in American law scarlet tour during which he promised to perform with unreleased tracks from the album. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that the album could be released before the tour or immediately after its completion at the end of 2023.
