After years of silence, here we are, the Borderlands movie will release on August 9, 2024. The film was announced a few years ago, but various strikes and various issues practically pushed it back to the date we know it today. Recent dictated issues have even pushed Craig Mazin to not want his name in the film’s credits.
Borderlands is a sci-fi film set to release in 2024. Directed by Eli Roth, written by Craig Mazin and Roth, based on the video game series from Gearbox Software and 2K Games. The film stars Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland, Jack Black as Claptrap, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, Florian Munteanu as Krieg, Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Patricia Tannis, Halsey as Mad Moxie, Edgar Ramirez as Atlas, Janina Gavankar. as Commander Lilith, Cheyenne Jackson as Jacobs, Nathan Fillion as Brick, Steve Zahn as Claptrap and Ray Liotta as Butt Stallion.
The film takes place on the planet Pandora, a wild and dangerous world inhabited by bandits, monsters and advanced technology. Lilith is a bounty hunter who must find the key that can save Pandora from an imminent threat.
