As is tradition, the United States Open, the Grand Slam tennis tournament, had among its audience a good number of celebrities among which undoubtedly the actors Brad Pitt and Bradley Cooper stood out, who saw shoulder to shoulder the surprise triumph of Russian Daniil Medvedev, world number 2, over Serbian Novak Djokovic, number one, in three straight sets.
Cooper and Pitt were seen talking and commenting on the historic game in which the Russian tennis player won his first Grand Slam tournament beating the top ranked players and snapping the Serbian’s astonishing streak. What’s more, Brad and Bradley interacted with other assistants with whom they share a profession, such as Alec Baldwin and Rami Malek, who will play Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Among the spectators to the tournament could also be seen Spike Lee, Lupita Nyong’o, Vivica A. Fox, Mariska Hargitay, James Corden, Kelly Ripa, Ben Stiller, Laverne Cox, among others.
In this days, New York has become the city where the eyes of the world have rested. Fashion Week is coming to an end and tomorrow the long-awaited MET Gala will be held. The US Open is based at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center (renamed in 2006), in Flushing Meadows, New York.
