Co-author, along with Jeff Shaffer, Dave Byrd, the protagonist’s translator, has now opened up about Pitt’s involvement in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
The episode shows Brad being shot with an arrow during a difficult situation, leaving viewers to wonder about the star’s fate.
Burd said:
There were long arguments about how to handle her appearance. We even filmed different versions of this episode with Drake where we were like, “Oh, he’s dead” and “No, he’s alive.” We had all versions available, but we decided to leave the situation rather ambiguous. For me, as a viewer, if you look closely, the paramedics are running and you can see Brad’s hand go up and he starts giving a thumbs up. So I take this moment as an indication that Brad will be alive.
The series tells the story of Lil Dicky as he strives to become one of the best rappers of all time. In the season finale of the third chapter of the story, Pitt arrives at Lil Dicky’s studio after appearing in Mr. McAdams’ music video and then being taken hostage by superfan Bella (Tenea Intriago).
Pitt also manages to help Dickie learn to love himself and take care of himself without seeking the approval of others.
