Finally Brad Pitt managed to sell the huge villa in San Feliz, the property he had bought in 1994 from Cassandra Peterson, better known as Elvira, the Queen of Darkness. A sale that earned the actor well 40 million dollars – a figure twenty times higher than the one for which he had purchased it -, also allowing him to get rid of a “haunted” property. A detail that Pitt has always been aware of, but which has never prevented him from fully enjoying the wonderful villa where he raised his six children with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, ei twins Knox and Vivienne.
Cassandra Peterson hasn’t kept secret the quirks of the mansion Brad Pitt bought from her for approx $1.7 million. Indeed, according to the actress, Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband he was excited
of being able to live in a house that was said to be haunted. “We were just warning him that a lot of strange things have been happening in the house since we moved,” Peterson said in an interview with People -. And he was very excited about that. He thought it was really cool.”Yet Elvira was quite precise in recounting the strange events she was able to witness at home. “I saw people walking upstairs, for example, real people walking. One time a ghost sat downstairs in front of the fireplace, one time he would enter my bedroom and come back. We saw a person floating on the bottom of the pool, stuff like that.” In short, real horror movie scenes, which however did not prevent Brad Pitt from buying the house. Apparently, in fact, the actor had remained totally fascinated by the architecture of the villa, although this was not in very good condition. Most of all they had hit him the livingroom and the dining room, which had solid mahogany paneling on the walls and copper ceilings. Two characteristics that have managed to overcome even the fear of ghosts.
An apparently haunted villa certainly cannot fail to have a macabre story behind it. Built in 1910 by an oil magnate, the property was inhabited in the 1960s by Mark Hamill
the actor who played Luke Skywalker in the film saga Star Wars. Unfortunately, however, Hamill left the residence after his roommate decided to take his own life. But that is not all. Another suspicious death appears to have occurred inside the house before it became Peterson’s property. A Broadway show performer Ziegfield Follies was found dead in the pooljust as Elvira herself recounted a few years later, claiming to have seen a body floating there.
