Brad Pitt’s extravagant £60.5 million birthday gift for ex-wife Jennifer Aniston

Brad Pitt put most of our gift-giving skills to shame after he bought his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston a $79 million 50th birthday present.

The couple, who were one of Hollywood’s most famous couples in the early 2000s, but divorced in 2005 and married other people. Brad famously dated his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie after their divorce, and Jennifer married Justin Theroux.

“I really hope that someday we can be friends again,” Jennifer said. Vanity Fair after their split. “I will love (Brad) for the rest of my life. He’s a fantastic person. I don’t regret anything and I’m not going to beat myself up about it,” she continued.

Jennifer got her wish as the couple rekindled their close friendship after finalizing her divorce from Justin in 2018 and celebrated the Friends star’s 50th birthday together. Brad was looking for a very generous and thoughtful gift for Jennifer to celebrate her special birthday.

During their marriage, the couple lived together in a Beverly Hills home that was put up for sale after their cutting. The Mirror reports that at the time, sources close to Jennifer said that “losing their dream home added to the heartache of their divorce, and it was one of her biggest regrets that she didn’t buy Brad out.”

Brad agreed to shell out $79 million to buy the house just so he could give it to Jennifer. The actress was reportedly thrilled to learn of his intentions, which came after the couple apparently reminisced about their time together at the family home.

Although the couple developed a close friendship years after their split, model Caprice Bourret believes Brad and Jennifer were the perfect couple. The model claimed that she had dinner with Angelina and Brad separately and that her time with the Hollywood actress was “awkward” as she failed to build a relationship with her.

Speaking to New Magazine, Caprice also claimed that Brad was more of “Aniston’s man” than suitable for 43-year-old Angelina. She said: “I had dinner with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie separately, although I can’t remember if they were married at the time. Brad was amazing, Angelina was awesome.

“She didn’t say a word all night. She just sat there and stared into space.”
