Will Britney Spears be the next Latin music market explorer? The pop icon was spotted hanging out with Colombian superstars J Balvin and Maluma last night (October 11).
Spears is no stranger to Latin music. Unfortunately, her latest works in this market have not been officially published. Before the release of the song “Hey Ma” on Fate of the Furious in the 2017 soundtrack, she was actually featured in the original version along with Romeo Santos and Pitbull. Santos and Spears were replaced J. Balvin and Camila Cabello. A year later she recorded “I feel so free with you” with Marc Anthony and Pitbull as the latter opened his Piece of Me tour. This cooperation was also terminated.
Perhaps J Balvin and Maluma can help Spears release her next Latin collaboration. In accordance with Page sixBoth artists spotted Spears at Zero Bond in New York. They invited her over and had sushi together. Spears reportedly spoke with them about music and her memoirs. The woman in mewhich will be released on October 24th. Later, a photo of the three artists hanging out last night surfaced online.
Spears’ fans, especially Colombian ones, are excited about the prospect of her working with J Balvin and Maluma. “Britney Spears I dance like Shakira with knives, hanging out with Maluma, cuddling with J Balvin,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Let her come here to Colombia to save her and move her forward.” Another person wrote: “Britney Spears and Maluma, J Balvin. I’m afraid the biggest song of the year is coming soon.”
Meanwhile, Spears showed love to Dominican-American singer Willie Gomez this week when he auditioned Voice. Her former dancer wowed the judges by performing Manuel Turizo’s hit “La Bachata.” After flipping the chairs of all four judges, Gomez joined John Legend’s team.
