Britney Spears shares excerpts from her memories – Billboard

Britney Spears is preparing to publish her long-awaited memoirs The woman in me on October 24, but not before the star returned to X to share excerpts from the book.

“At the end of the day, I envy people who know how to make fame work for them,” she read at the beginning of the 26-second clip, before moving on to: “My behavior was innocent and it wasn’t an act. I didn’t know what I was doing.”

The video, posted on Sunday (October 15), continues the story: “I felt like I was living on the edge of a cliff.” And he concluded by saying, “You defend me when I could not defend myself: from the bottom of my heart, thank you.”

Spears’ first memoir is “a valiant and darkly moving tale of freedom, glory, motherhood, survival, faith and hope,” according to a press release from Editorial Gallery Books, Simon & Schuster’s books.

The book contains a new chapter in Spears’ life after splitting from her husband Sam Asghari after a year of marriage and six years of marriage. Asghari filed for divorce in August, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
