Bronny James lines up for USC fan event, does viral dance with teammates and gets approval from dad LeBron James

Bronny, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, is looking forward to starting his college career at USC. His future Basketball Hall of Famer father supported him every step of the way.

The 19-year-old freshman joined his teammates at a USC men’s basketball fan event at the Galen Center, home of the Los Angeles Trojans. When Bronny was introduced to the field, he danced to Cali Swag Zone’s “Teach Me How to Dougie” song.

The moment was captured on video and shared on social media. It has since gone viral, with four-time NBA champion LeBron James retweeting it on the X (formerly Twitter) account.

Bronny James was a five-star high school recruit out of Sierra Canyon and a McDonald’s All-American. Many colleges tried to recruit him, but in May, he announced his commitment to the USC program.

However, his journey with the Trojans took an unexpected and horrific turn when, in July, he suffered a cardiac arrest during practice. It was later discovered that this was caused by a congenital heart defect, which fortunately is treatable.

LeBron James and his wife Savannah are understandably terrified of what their son has been through. After several days in the hospital, Browne was released and has been steadily recovering. His goal is to play for the USC Trojans this season.

LeBron James says son Bronny is doing well after health scare

Nineteen-time NBA All-Star James said his son Bronny is doing well following a health scare in July and hopes to rejoin the USC men’s basketball team this season.

During media day earlier this month, LeBron James gave an update on his son’s recovery:

“Bronny is doing a great job. He’s started the rehab process and will be back on the field this season with his teammates at USC. His surgery was successful … and he’s continuing to improve. It’s been an absolute whirlwind, and A lot of this summer has been filled with emotion for our family, but the best thing we have is each other.”

According to ESPN, Bronny has not yet rejoined the Trojans for practice but is taking classes on campus.

While overseeing Bronny’s recovery, James is also preparing for the new NBA season, which will be his 21st season in the league and sixth with the Los Angeles Lakers. They will begin the regular season on October 24 at the defending champion Denver Nuggets.
