The mexican industry requires the support of the State to overcome the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus Covid-19, actions that are required immediately to avoid deepen the impacts, said the president of the Confederation of Chambers of Industry (Concamin), Francisco Cervantes.
In a letter addressed to the president Andrés Manuel López Obradorthe leader of the industrialists said that in this contingency the sector of the employer requires the momentum of the State in three aspects:
Support to companies to avoid hundreds of thousands to close temporarily, because of see this scenario develop the economic resources of families, workers, entrepreneurs and the public sector.
Especially when you consider that the industry is in a recession, because in 2019 the economy ended with -0.1%.
“There is No room for the social and economic to allow more losses, it is time to work together in favor of a society that has already been hit by recurrent crises and ideological divisions,” he added.
In the second place said that it is necessary to take actions early because “it would not be desirable to have to wait for the depth of the economic crisis to implement strategies to safeguard the well-being of all mexicans. Without exclusions”.
In the third place, the president of the Concamin said that it requires “a comprehensive program to confront the worst economic calamity in a century is a necessary step”.
