NFL legend impressed with Pyfer’s performance

Pifer, who extended his MMA record to 12-2 with a win over AbdulRazzak Alhassan, seemed satisfied with the onslaught of blows from the Ghanaian known for knocking out his opponents.

However, after being kicked to the legs a few times in the second round, Pifer turned to grappling and it soon paid dividends as he landed an arm triangle choke.

Alhassan looked like he was knocking but he was using his fists rather than his open hands, leaving referee Mark Smith confused as to what was happening.

Moments later, he was unconscious and Smith separated the UFC stars as Peever began celebrating what was undoubtedly the most impressive victory of his 14-fight career.

After a post-fight interview with dual-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, Pifer emerged from the Octagon and encountered Brady, who was watching the fight with UFC CEO Dana White.

The 27-year-old, draped in an American flag, made a beeline for the NFL icon and shook his hand before receiving a “well done” compliment from Brady.

About an hour later, Pifer’s night got even better when White returned backstage and revealed that four fighters received bonuses for their performance of the night.

Along with Bobby Green, Drew Dober and Nate Maness, Pyfer received an additional $50,000 from UFC bosses for the win.

He is also a friend of the UFC boss

While he was celebrating a huge win late at night with teammates, friends and family, Brady and White headed to The Sphere to watch a U2 game.

The MMA mogul has been friends with American football’s greatest quarterback for years, and Brady even owns a small stake in the UFC, as well as a minority stake in British football club Birmingham City.

Once White’s deal to acquire ownership of the NFL team the Las Vegas Raiders is finalized, he will have more time to spend with his friends.
