Director Harmony Korin recently talked about Edglrd (pronounced “Edgelord”) is a Florida-based creative team and design studio that creates motion pictures, video games, and films in the video game format.
During a lengthy interview with GQ, the director Gummo AND spring Breakers showed the animation and technology used in his new film, Agro Dr1ftwith Travis Scott and Jordi Molla, which will be shown on September 2 in Venice.
About the face-swapping possibilities offered by artificial intelligence, Korine told GQ:This is the future of entertainmentwatching how video game graphics engines have completely changed scripts in light of their incredible evolution.
“If you watch the Call of Duty trailer, it’s the best thing Spielberg has ever done. said Korine, who on Edglrd is looking for a new type of entertainment aimed at youth, often over-stimulated by social media and receiving little attention. It is not even one who sits and looks at one thing, there are many things in it. You are listening to music, you are on TikTok and you are watching a movie. The idea is to take the whole concept of entertainment and create something new. Maybe there is something more after what we are used to: what has been so far is dying and right now something new is being born.
When asked if he would return to directing a traditional film, Korine replied that the only exception would be the script Malik wrote for him: “Terrence Malick wrote the script that he wants me to direct. It is indeed a very beautiful script. And this is perhaps one of the few things that could bring me back to traditional cinema. But even then, the trickiest part would be the idea of looking through the lens and filming, say, people talking at a table. All this dialogue always gets in the way, and nobody cares. I don’t know. I have always loved him and his films meant so much to me, both as a child and now. It would probably be the only thing I would do.”
