Considered a power couple in the industry, Cardi B and Offset have opened up about their first steamy encounter that led them down the path of hearing wedding bells.
In a recent interview Bodak Yellow the rap star gushed about their strong chemistry, adding that they both had a spark long before they became the spotlight in 2017.
“He invited me to the club,” the 30-year-old continued. “He stood right behind me and I felt him, you know, I felt him coming towards me. I felt his breath right there and I thought, ‘Oh my lord, oh Jesus Christ.'”
Admitting that her other half was out of breath, the performer added that she tried very hard not to look like “a piece of cake.”
“Feelings are rushing through my body, I can’t breathe,” the Grammy winner recalled. “But I will be strong and resilient, I will not give it to him right away.”
Intervening in the conversation, the Migos member revealed that he changed tactics to avoid creating the wrong atmosphere.
“I’m not trying to break away,” the 31-year-old said. “I’m not even trying. You see, I respected her, you know. I knew she thought I was coming with it, but I respected her art, what she did, her hustle, what she did.”
Nodding to his statement, Cardi shared that he didn’t take any action “at all” until they were ready.
Offset and Cardi B got married in 2017 and have two children.
