Bleacher Report brings you the latest news from the WWE Universe.

Cardi B is interested in attending WrestleMania 40

Superstar rapper Cardi B has long spoken about her childhood love of WWE and may have expressed it by appearing at WWE’s biggest event.

During an interview on Hot 97 (with support from Ringside News’ Steve Carrier) this week, Cardi B discussed her pro wrestling fandom with Peter Rosenberg, who often participates in WWE pre-show panels before premium live events.

Cardi B has downplayed the possibility of a WWE match after having two children, but has expressed interest in attending WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia next year, saying: “I mean, I’d like to wait, I don’t know, I don’t know what to do.” , if I need to perform or get slapped, but I want to go. I need to make some dream come true.”

Over the years, Cardi B has occasionally mentioned WWE on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In 2019, she named Eddie Guerrero, Booker T, Batista, Edge, Lita, Triple H, The Undertaker and Kane as some of her favorite wrestlers, suggesting she was heavily involved with WWE during the era of ruthless aggression.

While Cardi B hasn’t appeared in WWE yet, her hit “Up” was the official theme song for SummerSlam 2021, so she has at least some connection to the company.

Rosenberg said during the interview that he will try to pull some strings to make Cardi B’s appearance at WrestleMania 40 possible, meaning one of the most iconic female rappers of all time could appear on the biggest stage of all.

Cena Calls – WWE GOAT

Many wrestling fans consider John Cena to be the greatest wrestler in WWE history, but the 16-time world champion has a different opinion.

According to SportsKeeda’s Aashrit Sathija, Cena spoke to reporters on Friday in India ahead of the WWE Superstar Spectacle event and was asked what he thought of how Roman Reigns has succeeded as his successor as the face of WWE.

Cena went on to pay the tribal leader the ultimate compliment, saying, “From my perspective, I think Roman Reigns is the greatest actor of all time.”

Reigns is in the midst of one of the greatest title runs in WWE history, as the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion has now held the World Championship for over three consecutive years, which is unheard of in the current era of wrestling.

During this time, Reigns completely changed his character, became the most attractive figure in wrestling and largely earned the respect of fans who once complained that WWE pushed him to the top.

Cena has been the undisputed top star in WWE for over a decade, and while that has earned him a ton of fans, he has also had his fair share of detractors, so he has a unique insight into what Reigns has faced over the years.

Once Cena became a top star in WWE, he never backed down while Reigns took that leap of faith and it paid big dividends for him.

The company has also benefited from this decision, as it enjoys record profits and traffic under Raines’ leadership.

Several superstars are in the WWE GOAT conversation, and the fact that one of them put Reigns in that echelon speaks volumes about how far he has come in his career.

Knight is reportedly preparing for a huge push

Los Angeles Knight has quickly become one of the most popular superstars in WWE and is reportedly set for a big push moving forward.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Columnist Newsletter (c/t Felix Upton of Ringside News) Knight is expected to receive a “mega-push” with his positive public reaction bolstered by strong merchandise sales and ratings for his television segments.

In recent months, the live crowd has consistently supported and supported Knight, resulting in the decision to make him a full-time babyface.

While WWE initially seemed somewhat hesitant about going all in with Knight, he won the battle royal at SummerSlam and defeated The Miz last weekend at Payback, suggesting the push may have already begun.

On Thursday, PWInsider.com (h/t Upton) reported that WWE is either nearing or finalizing a deal for a new contract for Knight, possibly for five years.

With a new deal reportedly already in place or nearly done, there’s little stopping WWE from going full speed ahead with Knight’s onslaught.

While Knight remains a relative newcomer to WWE, he is a 40-year veteran of professional wrestling, so the company doesn’t have much time to make him a major star and possibly a world champion.

Fans clearly want to see Knight in this spot, and it looks like WWE is starting to listen to them.
