Apple TV+ shared the first photos Changeling – A Tale of New YorkA new eight-episode drama series from producer and Academy Award nominee LaKeith Stanfield (Atlanta, Judas and the Black Messiah, Sorry to Bother You, The Book of Clarence), which will be released September 8 and will consist of the first three episodes, which follows one episode. per week until October 13.
Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Victor LaValle, Changeling is a coming-of-age story, a horror story, a story about parenthood, and a dangerous odyssey to a New York you never knew existed. In addition to LaKeith Stanfield, the series stars Clark Baco, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Lauder, Jared Abrahamson and special guest star Malcolm Barrett.
“Changeling” is written and adapted by showrunner and executive producer Kelly Marcel (“Cruella,” “Venom,” “Venom: Fury of Carnage”). The pilot episode was directed by Melina Matsoukas (“Queen & Slim,” “Insecure”).
The series is produced by Apple Studios and Annapurna. Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu and Ali Krug serve as executive producers on Annapurna. Showrunner Kelly Marcel, book writer Victor LaValle, David Knoller and director Jonathan van Tulleken serve as executive producers along with star LaKeith Stanfield. Director Matsoukas is the executive producer of the film for De La Revolución Films. Sue Nagle and David Volkis also serve as executive producers, with Khalia Neal serving as co-executive producer.
