Changes in the testing protocol in the Galpón de La Estación apply

Minutes before 10 a.m. this Thursday, January 13, 2022, the Reconquista Health Region issued a new statement specifying that: “From today and under the new guidelines of the Ministry of Health, they will ONLY swab:

– Older than 60 years with comorbidities

– Pregnant

– Symptomatic Health Personnel

and Essential Personnel”

Those excluded from these groups, who present symptoms compatible with the disease, are under 60 years of age, without risk factors and who have had close contact with a confirmed case, will not be tested, as the diagnosis of Covid-19 is confirmed by clinical epidemiological criteria. The provincial protocol is modified in accordance with the modifications and new guidelines for Epidemiological surveillance of the Ministry of Health of the Nation, informed on 01/11/22: /confirmed-suspicious-case-and-close-contact.

Adequacy of measures for close contacts of COVID-19:

– Isolation of asymptomatic, mild and moderate confirmed cases:

With a complete vaccination schedule (less than 5 months after completing the schedule or applying the booster dose): it is reduced to 7 days from the date of onset of symptoms or sample collection (in asymptomatic patients), requiring at least 48 hours of clinical improvement. The remaining 3 days, it is necessary to continue with strict preventive measures: use of a mask, social distancing, avoid family/social gatherings, ending the 10 total days.

Those who present an incomplete scheme, or are not vaccinated, must comply with isolation for 10 days. In both cases, no laboratory control is required at discharge.

Close Contact Quarantine:

For those with a complete vaccination schedule (less than 5 months complete) or who have had COVID-19 in the last 90 days: isolation will NOT be indicated

Daily self-monitoring of symptoms is necessary; correct use of the chinstrap, be in
ventilated environments; avoid travel, contact with high-risk people, social activities
and massive events.

For those who are not vaccinated, or with an incomplete vaccination schedule (with more than 5 months of application of the last dose), isolation is for 10 days.

✓ Any person with symptoms who has obtained a positive result by techniques
molecular (PCR, LAMP) or by antigen test for the diagnosis of COVID-19.

✓ Any asymptomatic person who has obtained a positive result for the diagnosis
of COVID-19 by molecular techniques (PCR or LAMP).

✓ Any asymptomatic person who has been exposed to a risk contact (being
close contact of a confirmed case, having attended an event in which positive cases were recorded, etc.) and having obtained a positive result by test of
antigens or PCR.

✓ Any person who presents symptoms compatible with COVID-19 and has had contact
narrow with a confirmed case within 10 days prior to onset of symptoms
will be considered a confirmed case by clinical-epidemiological criteria, without the need for
a diagnostic test.


In case of negative results and high suspicion, persistence or worsening of symptoms
case, it is recommended to maintain the isolation and take a new sample at the
48 hours, adapting the type of sample to the clinical picture for study by molecular techniques.

Case confirmed by clinical epidemiological criteria.

All people who have been within a distance of less than 2 meters with a case
confirmed while the patient had symptoms, or during the 48 hours prior to the start of
symptoms, for at least 15 minutes and you have 2 or more of the following symptoms:

✓ Fever
✓ Cough
✓ Odynophagia
✓ Rhinitis
✓ Vomiting/diarrhea/headache/myalgia (only 1 symptom is considered).
They are excepted from confirmation by clinical epidemiological criteria, and must
perform laboratory tests for confirmation:
✓ Patients who present clinical criteria for hospitalization
✓ Patients with risk factors (age ≥60 years, diabetes, chronic disease)
chronic cardiovascular or respiratory disease, kidney failure, cirrhosis, immunocompromise,
✓ Pregnant people
✓ Health workers
✓ Essential personnel (see in suspicious case)
✓ Deceased people, without known cause

In the event of a negative laboratory result, confirmation is sustained by clinical and epidemiological criteria.


Any person who presents symptoms compatible with COVID-19, has had contact
narrow with a confirmed case, is under 60 years of age and has no risk factors,
You must self-report through the Cuidar app.

To do this, you must perform a self-diagnosis indicating the symptoms.

If the person indicates that they have compatible symptoms and have had close contact
with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within 10 days of the start of symptoms,
the application will be blocked and the case will be sent to the National Health Surveillance System with the classification Case confirmed by clinical-epidemiological criteria by auto
report (TAKE CARE)
