A video showing footballer Cristiano Ronaldo claiming support for Palestinian children is going viral, claiming it was filmed recently.

But this is wrong: The video, from 2016, shows Ronaldo offering support to children affected by the war in Syria.
How do we know the truth? : We performed a reverse image search on some keyframes from the viral video and discovered the same video shared by Ronaldo on his official Instagram account.

The video was shared on December 23, 2016, with the title “A message of hope for children affected by the conflict in Syria.”

In the video, he clearly said: “Hello everyone, this is for the children of Syria.”

He continued: “We know you are suffering a lot. I am a very famous player, but you are the real heroes. Don’t lose hope, the world is with you. We care about you. I am with you.” “

In 2016, he also shared the same video on his official Facebook account, X (formerly Twitter) account.
