The actor has commented on the possibility of presenting the legendary American sketch program one day, but the idea does not excite him.
In an interview granted to ET Canada, Chris Evans talked about the idea of hosting an episode of the Saturday Night Live. The actor praised his partner of Ghosted, Ana de Armasfor agreeing to host the April 15 episode, but stated that he “avoided leading the SNL” For years.
Evans admitted that he doesn’t see himself as a fun person and revealed that the idea of accepting the job terrifies him a lot. “Well, a cameo I could handle. I’ve been avoiding the opportunity to present SNL like the plague for years because I’m so scared. It terrifies me. For me it would be one of those things where every night I would wake up in a cold sweat. A cameo would be great. Getting in and out… like getting your toes wet. But introduce it, hats off to her (Ana de Armas). It will be fantastic. I wouldn’t sleep at night“.

The Captain America interpreter continued: “I don’t consider myself a funny person. Maybe I just think so because I have very, very funny friends who once told me I’m not a funny person. I just know how I would feel… it would be a daily anxiety, a constant regret. I would wonder why I did that, when I could have been comfortable at home, in my bed, not worrying about it?“.
