Chrissy Teigen regrets not writing her own wedding vows.
The 37-year-old model and her 44-year-old husband John Legend celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary on September 16 by returning to their wedding venue – Lake Como in Italy – and renewing their vows, which they rewrote for the occasion, along with their vows. children Luna, seven, Miles, five, Esty, eight months, and three-month-old Ren.
Conversation with E! News,” Chrissy said, “We were like, well, we’re going to rewrite them and say them because I have a big problem with not writing my own vows (at our wedding) because I was so nervous and just unsure and all that, so I didn’t do it.
“So that was a big regret for me. So, if anything, it was a chance to redo it and be with the people we love, and it worked out.”
The loving couple arrived at the hotel by boat, while Luna and Miles ran along the dock.
Both Chrissy and John struggled to hold back tears during the renewal ceremony, and she described the emotional moment as “so beautiful.”
She recalled: “I looked at him and he was like this, his eyes were filled with water. It was amazing. It was so beautiful.”
While it may have been a poignant moment for the couple, she joked that their kids were “still disgusted with us” and weren’t paying too much attention to it.
She joked: “Everything is (covers ears) la-la-la-la-la.” “
Chrissy recently admitted she was “hesitant” about renewing her wedding vows.
She told PEOPLE: “It was really special.
“A lot more emotional than I expected, but actually so good. And I just feel so happy, so happy, and in the most banal terms. It was so damn cute and amazing.”
The couple barely had time to see each other as they celebrated with loved ones.
She said, “The person you talk to least about these things is your husband.
“I’m like, I don’t even remember him.”
As for why she had reservations about the renewal, she explained: “I didn’t want it to be a vow renewal.
“I come from the Real Housewives world and vow renewals are the kiss of death, but I thought, ‘Let’s kiss it.’ Let’s do it.'”
