Christina Aguilera poses for a month to announce her Las Vegas residency – WWD

Christina Aguilera posed against a smoky backdrop of glittering black sand to announce her new Las Vegas residency. As seen on her Instagram on Monday, the singer wore a black Mônot corset, black Jimmy Choo pumps and a David Mor diamond necklace to promote her new project.

The photo was taken by Alex Lucas. To create her look, Aguilera worked with her stylist Chris Horan, who also works with Charlie CXC, Hari Nef and Troye Sivan.

Aguilera’s new Las Vegas residency is set to take place at Voltaire Belle de Nuit at the Venetian resort of Las Vegas starting New Year’s weekend. The show will feature Aguilera performing hits from two decades from her extensive catalogue.

“I look forward to bringing a new show to Las Vegas that combines music, sophistication and art in a way that I have never performed before,” Aguilera said in a statement. “What I love about the intimacy of Voltaire at the Venetian Resort is how close and personal I can be with the audience… a truly modern take on the performance.”

While only New Year’s Eve show dates have been announced, further show dates will be announced on October 13 when all tickets go on sale.

Mônot designer Eli Mizrahi launched the brand in 2019 and in just a few years has managed to attract major suppliers including The Webster, Fwrd and Moda Operandi. He has dressed famous celebrities including Dove Cameron, Ciara and Demi Lovato.

“Mono collaborated with Christina’s stylist Chris Horan to create flowing lines that flatter a feminine figure while maintaining taste,” Mizrahi told WWD. “This look is Mono’s signature look and Christina did it justice while looking amazing.”

In March, WWD reported that Aguilera had joined sexual wellness brand Playground as co-founder and head consultant for the brand. The brand offers FDA-approved water-based skin care lubricants.
