All three of their losses came in conference play, as they sit in the bottom half of the Pac-12 Conference. Still, Buffalo’s star duo of Shaddell Sanders and Travis Hunter had impressive individual seasons. The duo even compared themselves to LeBron James and Dwayne Wade.

In a recent X (Twitter) post, the star duo talked about becoming NBA players. The pair said they are similar to the legendary duo of LeBron James and Dwayne Wade. They even brought Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson into the conversation.

Is this an accurate statement? Compared to Buffalo’s individual performances in 2022-23, Sanders and Hunter provide a refreshing lineup of stars.
Shaddell Sanders has 2,420 yards and 21 touchdowns in seven games so far as Colorado State’s football quarterback. His QBR of 72.4 ranked 30th nationally, according to ESPN. In Colorado’s most recent game, the 21-year-old threw for a whopping 400 yards and five touchdowns. Travis Hunter is also impressive.
What makes Hunter special is his two-way ability. As a cornerback, Hunter had 11 solo tackles, one interception and two passes defended. Hunter, meanwhile, averaged 12.2 yards per game as a receiver for Buffalo’s offense.
While the Colorado star duo still has a lot to prove, their self-proclaimed NBA comparisons can give us an idea of their talent.
