A college student who started working at a Chinese media company for mandatory training has died after working 5 night shifts in a row. Lee, who spent 38.4 percent of his day live broadcasting outside of his school and private life, held 89 live broadcast sessions between October 15 and November 10.

The company offered $700 in compensation

While his father claimed that his son was pressured to work the night shift, the company denied the allegations and offered the family compensation of 5,000 yuan (US$700).
