With a part-time Xfinity schedule and his truck commitment to Tricon Garage, this announcement means Corey Heim will have a busy and exciting 2024 NASCAR season.

The 2024 NASCAR season could very well be a breakout season for young driver Corey Heim. Tricon Garage’s No. 11 driver will now serve as a reserve driver for NASCAR Cup Series teams, LMC and 23XI. While Haim isn’t guaranteed to make his first appearance in the Cup Series, he will be able to learn from and learn from some of the best team owners in the sport like Michael Jordan and Jimmie Johnson.

Legacy Motor Club and 23XI are one of three teams using Toyota Camrys in the Cup Series. While JGR and 23XI were the ones initiating the change, LMC has also recently made the switch and 2024 will be their first season with Toyota racing cars. Heim himself is a member of Toyota Racing in the Truck Series and will now be able to gain stock car racing experience, albeit from the outside.

Corey Heim will start his season in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series on January 26 at Daytona International Speedway. He will team up with 23XI’s Bubba Wallace and LMC’s John Hunter Nemechek. The trio will compete in a Toyota Supra GT4 EVO under the SMOOGE Racing banner.

The race is a four-hour endurance challenge preceded by the iconic 24 Hours of Daytona. This will be Wallace and Nemechek’s first race with Heim, who is quickly climbing the ranks and working with more experienced racers. Corey Haim also ran a few laps and interacted with Wallace and Nemechek in preparation for the event. He tweeted at the time: “Learn something new this week.
