The National Day of Healthy Distance is the way in which the federal government promotes social isolation, driven by the World Health Organization (WHO).

That day started last Monday 23 of march and is expected to end on Sunday 19 April and consists of four main points.

The first of them is stimulate the basic measures of prevention, where the distance of at least half and half between each person is essential; as well as proper hygiene. This includes frequent washing of hands with soap and water, or in its absence, with hand sanitizers that contains a minimum of 70% alcohol.

The second point is the temporary suspension of non-essential activities. This is to avoid the displacement of people in the cities. This procedure applies to all education levels (from preschool to higher) and to the work that can be performed from home (home office).

The third point integrates the reprogramming events of massive concentration. Such events are classified as well when they congregate to 5 thousand or more people. Then, many concerts were suspended and/or cancelled to this extent.

The fourth and last is to provide a special care to older people. This, because according to the data of specialists in the pandemic of COVID-19, seniors 65 years old are the demographic most susceptible to serious damage to the disease; however, there are still aggravating as chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD, aches heart, people with asthma, people with compromised immune system in some way (cancer patients or HIV/AIDS), are some of the people most sensitive to the coronavirus and may lose the life with greater ease that the young people that lead to poor eating habits.

According to the data provided by the Secretariat of Health (SSa), the largest number of cases of COVID-19 in Mexico is reported in the range of ages between 30 and 39 years, followed by the category of 40 to 49, and after the 20-to 29.

This means that young people of working age are the most exposed to the coronavirus and therefore, means a risk factor in the traceability of the virus; however, the SSa emphasizes that people over 65 are the ones that have the highest probability of dying in this pandemic.

In this demographic of age, the men were hit the hardest, because it reports a record of transmission of 63% to 37% that they represent women of that same range.
