Cowboys’ Micah Parsons ‘eager to meet Michael Jordan’, says he and Kobe Bryant ‘are my favorite athletes’

Former Penn State standout Micah Parsons may have been disappointed with the outcome of Monday night’s national championship game, as Michigan defeated Washington 34-13.

Still, the Cowboys’ star pass rusher did find positives in this outing; enjoy the star-studded lineup at NRG Stadium, which included Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith and Hip Hop Artist Travis Scott.

“It was a hell of a suite. There were so many Hall of Famers and greats in there. I wish I was in that suite,” Parsons said on Bleacher Report’s “The Verge.”

Among the nationally recognized faces, there is one that stands out to Parsons more than others.

“I really wanted to get to know Michael Jordan from a mindset perspective, how he performed every week, how he proved his greatness every day. He and Kobe are like my favorite athletes.”

“It’s one hell of a suite. If I could create a suite, those people would be in (mine). You are who you are with, to put it bluntly,” Parsons concluded.

The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Washington Commanders 38-10 on Sunday to claim the NFC East title with a 12-5 record.

Parsons was a key part of the team’s regular season success, finishing the season with 64 tackles and 14 sacks. The 24-year-old shared his thoughts on the regular season on his weekly podcast.

“I had my 14th sack of the season, which is a career high for me. I said I wasn’t going to be the 13-sack guy again, just to be honest, I thought I was going to be 17,18 sack guy. But we’re not going to talk about that,” Parsons said.

“We all know we can, should, will have. (I) have 14 this year and obviously next year we’ll try to be bigger and better and keep raising the bar every year.”

“The fifth player since 1982 to have at least 40 sacks in his first three career seasons,” he continued. “Super blessed, super honored, and so thankful every day that the Dallas Cowboys chose me and put so much hard work and energy into me.”

Dallas will host Jordan Love’s 9-8 Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon.
