“Creed 4” Reportedly Will Return to Direct by Michael B. Jordan

Adonis Creed will apparently be getting another run on the silver screen. The producers of “Creed III” said that a new installment in the “Rocky” spin-off series is in the works, with Michael B. Jordan returning to star and direct again.

According to Deadline, Creed 3 producer Irwin Winkler revealed plans for a fourth installment in the series at an event in Los Angeles on Saturday. “We are now planning to make Creed 4,” he said. “We have a very good story (and) a very good plot. We’re a little delayed because of the strike, but in about a year we’ll be in pre-production.”

In addition, Winkler claimed that Jordan will direct “Creed 4” after “doing a great job” in “Creed 3”, which is his directorial debut. Among other upcoming projects, Jordan is also involved in I Am Legend 2 alongside Will Smith.

As for the “Creed” series, “Creed III” set the highest opening weekend box office for a sports movie in the United States. Additionally, the film grossed over $275 million worldwide, ending the first two films. The Creed franchise is unique in that each new movie makes more money than the last. “Tenet” grossed $174 million worldwide, and the sequel grossed $214 million.
