Liverpool travel to the Etihad Stadium later today as Jurgen Klopp’s side take on Premier League leaders Manchester City. It promises to be an incredible game, even if the later kick-off time would be better.

The Reds are just one point behind Pep Guardiola’s 2022/23 Treble-winning side and they will hope to secure all three points away from home to top the table again. But it will mean a first away win at the Etihad Stadium since 2015.

City were victorious in the same game last season after Mohamed Salah’s opener was canceled out by Julian Alvarez shortly afterwards. Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and former Manchester City player Ilkay Gundogan secured a dominant 4-1 win in April.

Both sides were affected by injuries ahead of the game, with Ryan Gravenberg, Joe Gomez, Ibrahima Konate and Curtis Jones all back in full training with Liverpool. Meanwhile, Erling Haaland and Rodri have avoided serious injury after picking up injuries on international duty with their respective countries.

Sadio Mane made his 100th appearance for Senegal during the international break and Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated the achievement by sending him a cake along with his club teammates. He scored twice in his 100th game.

The cake showed a photo of Mane wearing a Senegal jersey. In the photo, Ronaldo and the rest of the team are smiling as Mane receives and cuts the ball.
