Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi salary still dwarfs Nigel Farage’s I’m A Celebrity salary record

Nigel Farage is set to enter the I’m a Celebrity jungle for a record transfer fee of £1.5 million – a figure that will barely impact Cristiano Ronaldo’s wages in Saudi Arabia.

The former MP makes a surprise appearance on the hit ITV show, which airs this Sunday (November 19) in what will be its 23rd series. Farage, 59, will undoubtedly become a TV box-office hit and the former Brexit Party will be handsomely paid for his involvement as he received a record £1.5 million appearance fee, according to the Daily Mail.

The fee is reportedly more than double the £600,000 highest fee paid to Deal or No Deal star Noel Edmonds in 2018. While Farage’s salary is an absolute fortune to 99% of people, it compares to Cristiano Ronaldo’s salary at Saudi Pro. League club Al Nasr pales in comparison.

The Manchester United legend, who joined Al-Nassr in 2022 after leaving the Premier League club, will earn up to £173 million a year, according to Saudi Arabia’s state-run media. According to CBS Sports, 62 million pounds of Ronaldo’s salary is spent on playing football, and the remaining 111 million pounds is spent on business deals and image rights.

The Portuguese superstar’s earnings are simply ridiculous when you analyze them carefully, as the 38-year-old earns over £500,000 a day and more than £3.60 a week.
