Demi Lovato Reveals the Aftermath of Her 2018 Overdose: Brain Damage and Vision Problems

Next July will be three years since Demi Lovato suffered an overdose that almost cost her her life and that has left her serious consequences. After being discharged, the singer assured that she would talk in more detail about that experience when she felt ready, and that moment has now come through a documentary series for YouTube entitled “Dancing with the devil”, with which she hopes to “clarify” various things about what actually happened.

In the interview he has given to promote this project, the pop star has revealed for the first time that he still has sequels due to the brain damage he suffered that tragic day. “I can’t drive a car because I have blind spots in my vision. For quite some time I also had a hard time reading. That was a very important moment when I was finally able to read a book, which was about two months later because my eyesight was still very bad. I have dealt with the consequences and I think they are still there to remind me of what could happen if I were to fall back on the dark side again ”, he declared in the framework of a conference organized by the Television Critics Association.

On the other hand, Demi feels fortunate that her rehabilitation process did not include too much physical therapy and focused mainly on her emotional and internal recovery through therapy: “I had to work a lot, not only on a physical level” she acknowledged.

In the first preview of this project, Demi explains very seriously before the camera that she crossed a line that she had never crossed before, supposedly to allude to heroin use, and also reveals that she suffered three strokes and a heart attack that left her Doctors convinced he only had five to ten minutes to live when he finally got to the hospital.
