Denzel Washington, Tom Brady recreate ‘Remember the Titans’ scenes

Denzel Washington and Tom Brady brought the 2001 film’s script to SiriusXM’s “Let’s Go” podcast this week, recreating the beloved scene from Disney’s “Remember the Titans” A fan favorite scene.

In the scene, the actor plays Coach Herman Boone, who terrorizes high school football player Petey Jones (played by “The Anatomy” star Donald Faison).

The retired quarterback plays Faison in the video as he becomes increasingly unsure of how he feels about football.

“Hands down,” Washington said. “First you smile, then you think. “You think football is fun. “

“Uh, yes. Yes sir. No sir, it used to be Interesting,” Brady replied.

“Not anymore, right? Now that you’re wondering, make up your mind. Is it fun? No? Absolutely not? … Well, zero fun. Listen, I’m Coach Washington and we’re about to have some fun.”

Set in 1971, “Remember the Titans” is based on the true story of coach Herman Boone, who attempted to integrate a football team in Alexandria, Virginia. The sports drama is directed by Boaz Yakin and co-produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

The cast includes Will Patton, Ryan Hurst, Wood Harris, Kip Purdue and 20-year-old Ryan Gosling.

Former New England Patriots star Brady played 23 seasons, reaching the Super Bowl 10 times and winning seven of them. After leaving the Patriots, he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three years before announcing his retirement in February.

He has played himself in several TV series and movies, including “Entourage,” “Family Guy” and “The Simpsons.”

He also played himself in this year’s comedy “Brady’s 80,” starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field as a die-hard Patriots fan. They went to the Super Bowl and met their idols. Brady co-produced the film, which is based on a true story.
