Serena Williams’ husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian praises legendary golfer Tiger Woods’ unwavering winning mentality since the beginning of his career .

Woods is the second most successful major champion in golf history. He is one of only five male golfers to win all four major events and also holds the record for most consecutive cuts on the PGA Tour, with a staggering 142 total.

In 1996, at the age of 20, Woods became the first golfer in history to win three consecutive U.S. Amateur Championships. He also has the lowest lifetime average in PGA Tour history, and he has earned more on the PGA Tour than any other player.

Social media account Vital Golf (@vital_golf) recently shared a video of Tiger Woods talking about his unwavering winning mentality. Woods expressed his unrelenting desire to finish first in every event because he believes finishing second or third simply doesn’t deserve respect.

“I understand that. I’ve always thought that. Why go to a tournament instead of trying to win games? There’s really no point. That’s been my attitude my whole life. That’s the attitude I’ve had.” I would explain to my dad that the second time was even worse. It was just a feeling,” Woods said.

Alexis Ohanian retweeted the video on social media to express his admiration for Woods.

Alexis Ohanian has previously reflected on the lasting impact of Tiger Woods’ rousing speech during his induction into the prestigious World Golf Hall of Fame.

Woods was officially inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in March 2022. The induction ceremony was made even more special when Serena Williams and many of her friends from the sports world attended the in-person induction ceremony.

In his acceptance speech, Tiger Woods recounted his personal experience of being ostracized from numerous clubhouses simply because of the color of his skin. Despite enduring such discrimination, he remained determined to prove his critics wrong. Rather than letting the actions of others shape his identity, he used these experiences as fuel to propel him to success.

“Well, playing at some golf courses, I wasn’t allowed in the clubhouse where all the other junior players were. The color of my skin dictated that,” Woods said.

“As I got older, it drove me even more. So when I was refused entry into the clubhouse – it didn’t matter, put my shoes in the parking lot. I just asked two questions and that was it.” First Tee ? &’What is the course record? ‘” he added.

Alexis Ohanian was moved by Woods’ inspiring and powerful speech. He took to social media to praise the legendary golfer.
