PAINT THE TOWN RED — new single DOJA CAT. The music video, directed by Nina McNeely and Doja Cat herself, has been posted online.
Filmed in Los Angeles, the video is based on three paintings of the international superstar, each a recreation of scenes shown in the video.
The cover art for the single was drawn by Dodja Cat during an Instagram live stream as she chatted with fans and announced the new track.

Last June, Doja Cat released the song and video for the single “Attention” to widespread acclaim from music critics, so much so that Rolling Stone called it “fiery”. In addition, Doja Cat was featured on the cover of V Magazine’s “The Global Music Issue”.
The new track features an excerpt from Walk on By written by Burt Bacharach (music) and Hal David and performed by Dionne Warwick.

This fall, Doja Cat will embark on a North American tour with The Scarlet Tour.
Earlier this year, Doja Cat collaborated with SZA to remix the No. 1 hit “Kill Bill” on the Billboard Hot 100. In the remix, Doja Cat was praised for her tight rap at the beginning of the song, followed by SZA’s original chorus. In this regard, Billboard stated that Doji’s inclusion gives new life to the song, which, with his rapping, tells the story in great detail.
