it’s all blurryDrake’s new tour – the first since the tour he shared with Migos in 2018 – kicked off last Wednesday in Chicago with an ultra-modern stage design that is somehow reminiscent of a Drake tour life of pablo Kanye West and Drizzy in the center of the open stage, performing holograms of him (as a young man) and a statue dedicated to Virgil Abloh.
On the other hand, the raised sides of the stage are designed as strings of LEDs, onto which Drake has decided to stream some of his thoughts, comments and opinions. One of these was dedicated to Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino: «The overrated and highly rewarded hit this is america, The reason for this disagreement can be found in an interview with the producer of atlanta Together gq In which he described how one of his biggest achievements – this is america – was initially born as a diss track for Drake. “It was a fun way to annoy Drake,” Gambino said, “but then something too rough came out and I ended up playing with it and doing something else.” So the song went from an insulting song for Drake to “a reflection on the culture of 2018”.
