Drake disappoints fans after allegedly dissing ex Rihanna in new song

Los Angeles: Rapper Drake seems to have disappointed his fans with his remarks on one of his new songs.

Shortly after the release of the track “Fear of Heights,” rapper Hotline Bling allegedly threw shade at his ex-girlfriend and singer Rihanna, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The 36-year-old rapper became a hot topic on X, formerly known as Twitter, as his fans voiced their thoughts on the new single.

One wrote: “Drake rapping about Rihanna in 2023 and sounding as mature as he did in 2013 is as disappointing as it is predictable.” Meanwhile, another candidly wrote: “Drake dissing Rihanna on album is insane (laughing emoji) it’s so salty I’m weak.”

On the same day, Rihanna’s fans came to her defense on the same social network. One said: “Drake blasted Rihanna my baby she’s somewhere changing her nappies for the 20th time this morning… this lady is not kidding.”

another bragged about the “Love on the Brain” singer and her accomplishments: “Rihanna ended her relationship with Drake years ago. Since then, she’s also launched her own makeup line, started a family, and been nominated for an Oscar. I promise you.” She’s not worried about this person.”

Drake released the song, which appears on his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs, on October 6.

Social media users believe Drake dissed Rihanna in the song, referencing her album titled “Anti” and its single. Moreover, they suggested that Drake was shading her current partner A$AP Rocky, with whom she has two children.

Drake and Rihanna, who have collaborated on songs like “Work”, “Take Care”, “Too Good” and “What’s My Name?”, first sparked romance rumors back in 2009.

In 2016, he admitted that she was “the person I’ve been in love with since I was 22.” However, in 2018, she said that they “don’t have a friendship right now, but we’re not enemies.”
